The Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill is one of the finest intact examples of the Aesthetic Design Movement of the late 1800's. Its serene, natural setting inspires and enriches visitors as it inspired the carpenters and masons whose craftsmanship still holds visitors in amazement today. Inspired by Oscar Wilde's 1882 North American lecture tours on the subject of the Aesthetic Movement, the " House Beautiful" at Osgood Hill was designed as a dramatic acknowledgement of the philosophy of the famed playwright, poet genius and social commentator; that the vital intensity of the aesthetic experience is the paramount goal in human life, that art needs no justification and need not serve a moral purpose. The peaceful beauty of this setting , its rich natural landscapes and magnificently artful interiors are designed to be enjoyed as a few moments of catharsis from a busy world. Built for Moses Stevens in 1886, the magnificent mansion and gardens were famed for the spectacular garden parties and events that attracted many hundreds of guests who worked for the Stevens textile mill empire up and down the east coast, and beyond. A statesman, politician and recognized elder of his peers, the library at Osgood Hill was designed to host to dinner parties, gatherings and vital conversations that would shape the world as we know it. Today, the Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill is owned by the Town of North Andover and managed by Fireside Catering. A portion of the revenues generated from our events are reinvested into the estate for restoration and repair of the mansion, estate buildings and grounds. Weddings

The auspicious setting of the mansion’s first floor can be used for social events throughout the year. Interior rooms feature rich wood paneling, fine imported marble fireplaces and magnificent architectural details that will add beauty to any occasion. Indoor spaces are connected to the estate’s gardens inviting guests to step outside and take in the majestic setting.

Mansion Wedding
October to April - Up to 100 Guests
Exclusive use of the mansion's first floor and two beautiful suites for your special day, for intimate weddings in late Fall, Winter and Spring . A garden ceremony may be available, weather permitting.

Amy Shore, Director of Sales and Events

Amy began her career at The Ritz Carlton Boston Common, starting first as a server, and eventually working her way up to Assistant Director of Dining Services overseeing all food and beverage departments for the hotel. After three and a half intense years, Amy realized that her true passion was in wedding catering. Before joining Fireside Catering in 2010, she worked at 2 of Boston’s premiere caterers, executing a large number of events as a wedding sales manager. She brings with her over ten years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Amy thrives on exceeding client’s expectations. Her favorite part of her work is seeing the smile on the newlywed’s faces when they realize their wedding is everything they hoped it would be.
Ian Davey, Executive Chef

Born and raised on the North Shore of Massachusetts, Chef Ian Davey has been working in the restaurant and catering industry since his early teens. He has held nearly every position in the kitchen, and quickly climbed the ranks in those early years. Though he gained valuable on-the-job experience, he decided to formalize his culinary education at the world-renowned Le Cordon Bleu, in Paris. After graduating, he continued his culinary development in Parisian restaurant kitchens including L’Espadon and Le Violin d’Ingres, and at Boston’s esteemed L’Espalier and Menton. In recent years, Chef Ian helmed several high volume catering kitchens before finding his way to Fireside Catering. When he’s not in our kitchen, he plays hockey, works on home improvement projects and enjoys cooking steak in his own kitchen for his wife and two kids.
Helen Verrochi, Director of Sales & Events

Native New Englander, Helen Verrochi, joined the Fireside team in 2022, as an event manager. Her attention to detail and organization stood out from the beginning and she was a natural fit as we expanded the team at The Stevens Estate. Helen brings over 20 years of hospitality experience to her position as Sales & Event Manager. In her spare time you can find Helen spending time outdoors with her husband and two children, or entertaining at home. She enjoys cooking and makes a mean guacamole, but it’s her outstanding chicken piccata that inspires her children to suggest she challenge Bobby Flay.

Fireside Catering is pleased to partner with Mass Audubon to preserve, manage and improve the natural space at The Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill. Osgood Hill boasts over three miles of trails, on over 200 acres of land in the heart of North Andover, which are open to the public. This lush space provides a home to an abundance of wildlife and native plants. Mass Audubon provides a wide variety of programming for this space, such as bird walks, nature walks, and ecology programs to name a few. The trails are open from dawn to dusk. Please click HERE to view the trail maps. Visitors are asked to be mindful of private event signage and avoid the area of the mansion and lawns when a private event is in progress. Visitors may park in the parking lot closest to the carriage house to access the public trails.
